Dress Registry – Here's Our Policy & Why

At TENN, we understand how much thought and care goes into choosing your formal dress and we know that for many of our clients, the idea of someone else wearing the same style on the night feels like a real concern.

We want to be completely transparent with you about our registry policy, and more importantly, why it works the way it does.

We Don't Offer a Formal Dress Registry

TENN does not offer a dress registry service for school formals.

We know this isn't what some clients want to hear, and we genuinely empathise with that. But here's the reality of how hiring works and why a registry simply isn't something we're able to offer fairly or accurately.

1. We're an online hire service.
TENN operates nationally, which means girls from different schools, different cities, and different year levels are all booking through the same platform. A registry would require us to lock a style for one school but, we have no way of knowing where every client attends, and we won't turn away bookings on the basis of unverified information.

2. Dresses can be purchased elsewhere.
Even if we held a style for your school, there's nothing stopping another girl from purchasing or hiring the same dress through another retailer, boutique or platform. A registry with us offers a false sense of security that we'd never feel comfortable promising.

3. It's not something we can enforce.
A registry only works if every avenue is locked down and in the current market, that's simply not possible. We'd rather be honest with you upfront than make a commitment we can't keep.

So, What Can You Do?

Our strongest advice? Use your year level's Facebook or Instagram group.

Most schools have a private social page specifically for formal dress coordination and this is honestly the most effective tool available to you. Post your style early, communicate directly with your peers, and coordinate from there. This puts the power in your hands rather than relying on any single retailer to manage it for you.

It's a community solution for a community moment and it works.
